Mac McLean formed Click Communications in May 2007 in response to an increasing demand for comprehensive online publicity. With over sixteen years of experience, he currently oversees all Click Communications’ publicity efforts, working with a crack-team of PR professionals to deliver superior online coverage every day.
Prior to the launch of Click, Mac was the Director of Online Publicity at national advertising agency Terry Hines & Associates. During that time, he worked exclusively with Internet press on behalf of Buena Vista Home Entertainment (Disney), building solid relationships with hundreds of entertainment and DVD websites ranging from celebrity fan sites to mainstays like Yahoo!.
Before working exclusively in online publicity, Mac handled theatrical promotions and publicity for Disney, DreamWorks, MGM, and Focus Features throughout the Pacific Northwest for more than five years. He ran successful campaigns for many high-grossing films such as Shrek, Legally Blonde, Finding Nemo, Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, and two consecutive James Bond films. During that time he also handled the regional DVD promotions for BVHE. To date, he has helped coordinate the launch of over 1,500 entertainment properties.
With a personal collection of over 5,000 movies and TV shows, choosing a favorite is nearly impossible, but among the most watched you’ll find Almost Famous, The Rock, Superman II, Die Hard, The Goonies, Taken, Idiocracy and "It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia."
